Good afternoon. We are currently looking into various solutions for test plan and document management, and had some questions/concerns regarding a few usage cases for Collavate, specifically looking at features that would be helpful for us, but don't seem to be clearly highlighted in the FAQs and feature listings.
- When changes have been made between reviewers, there don't seem to any controls that alert the user or previous reviewers that have already approved the document. Is there any way to flag this? Can Reviewers be limited to comments or suggestions only? (This would address Question 4 in this case.)
- When a doc has published an approved version, if someone starts a draft for a new revision of that document, how are others alerted that the doc is under draft again? For example, so 2 or more drafts aren't started at once. (This may be a non-issue with how Google Docs handles its Named Versions of documents, but this control would still be useful.)
- Is there a way to automatically reset the revision cycle if anyone rejects the document?
- Let's say I have a 3 tiered review cycle and at the last tier someone requests a change. Is there a way to produce a diff report for review between versions so folks don't have to reread the whole document, as per Google Docs Named Version control, or would making use of that or comments be necessary?
